This freshwater crab is found in Nagano Prefecture at elevations up to 600 meters above sea level. Its bright colors, including those powerful scarlet-red claws, make it distinctive, and it has a line like a smiling mouth on its back. It's fully jointed to make realistic posing possible, perfectly reproducing the crab's natural range of motion. Its eyestalks can also move. It's about 5 1/2" wide, about twice its actual size, and is about 2 3/4" tall.
